On which days is Technopolis open?

Technopolis is open almost every day of the year.

On which days is Insectopia open?

  • On Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays outside school holidays and public holidays.
  • Every day during school holidays.

From what time to what time?

Technopolis and Insectopia are always open from 9.30 am to 5 pm. A few exceptions:

  • On Wednesdays (outside school holidays) Insectopia is open as of 12:30 pm.
  • During the Easter break (2 till 18 April) we are open every day until 6 pm.

When are Technopolis and Insectopia closed?

  • From 1 till 16 September 2022
  • On 24 and 25 December
  • On New Year’s Day

On schooldays

On schooldays, we mainly receive students. On these days all expos and zones are open and you get to witness amazing science demonstrations at regular intervals. However you cannot attend any shows.

Busier than usual

You are more than very welcome any day of the year, just be aware that schooldays and holiday periods can be quite busier than usual.

Technopolis

How long your visit to Technopolis takes, depends on many factors. Are you bringing children who want to get to the bottom of every experiment? Or are they more selective? Our offer also varies. In the weekend and on holidays we have shows and sometimes also workshops. We estimate that a visit lasts 4 hours on average, but it may be that your visit lasts longer or shorter.

Insectopia

We estimate that a visit takes one hour, although this varies from visitor to visitor. If you complete all assignments in the free activity booklet and if you are completely absorbed in our audio stories, videos and information boards, you will spend a lot more time. If you only feast your eyes, your voyage of discovery will not take as long.
