Directions and parking space
Technopolis is situated in Mechelen-Zuid, near motorway E19 between Antwerp and Brussels. The science centre can easily be reached by means of public transportation as well as by car, bike or even on foot.
Technopolis has a big, FREEPARKINGSPACE.
Are there no more free spaces in front? There are more free parking spaces at the back of the building.
This is how you easily get to Technopolis…
By car
Via the motorway: Technopolis is located next to the E19 (Brussels-Antwerp). Take exit 10 Mechelen-Zuid and you will directly enter a big, free parking area.
Are you coming from the ring road of Mechelen? Follow the direction of Mechelen station. When you get to the station, drive over the viaduct in the direction of the E19. Just before the on-ramp to the motorway, you will see Technopolis.
By bike
When you exit Mechelen station, take the bridge on your left. You will follow the Stationstraat, which will turn into the Postzegellaan. After the traffic lights, take the second street on your right (Kruisbaan). Take the first left on the Kruisbaan (Zwartkloosterstraat). At the end of this street, follow the signpost to Technopolis and turn left into the tunnel. This brings you to the Zemstbaan. A little further on, turn right onto the Technopolis parking area. You can park your bike in the free indoor bike park. Have at look at this map.
Rent a blue-bike at the Mechelen station for just € 1. The bike is available for 24 hours and you can bring it back to the station afterwards. For more information, go to www.blue-bike.be.
Are you coming from the direction of Zemst? Follow the Brusselsesteenweg in the direction of Mechelen. When you get to furniture store Peremans (on your right), follow the signpost to Technopolis and turn left. At the end of the Abeelstraat, turn left onto the Zemstbaan. Further on, turn right onto the Technopolis parking area. You can park your bike in the free indoor bike park.
By train
Take the train to Mechelen station. Go to www.thetrain.be for the most up-to-date travel information.
Take bus 282 or 682 at the front of the station until close to Technopolis. On weekdays, there is a bus connection every half hour. Go to www.delijn.be for the most up-to-date travel information.
With the special Discovery Combi (B‑Daytrip) (one ticket for train, bus and entrance), you will travel to Technopolis for a very economical rate.
By bus
Busses 282 and 682 regularly pass the bus stop at Technopolis. Plan your journey on the De Lijn website. The busses depart from the station in Mechelen.
If you are coming from Brussels National Airport in Zaventem, you can take bus 282 or 682 until Technopolis.

On foot
